European Club BLITZ CHAMPIONSHIP
Rules & Regulations
1. The organization of the European Club Blitz Championship 2014 has been allotted by the
European Draughts Confederation (EDC) to Polish Draughts Federation (PDF) and will take
on Tuesday, November 11th in Gniezno.
2. Participants. Tournament is open for each player who accepts these rules & regulations.
3. Playing room: Wielkopolskie Samorzadowe Centrum Ksztaùcenia Zawodowego i
Ustawicznego, Gniezno, Mieszka I 27.
4. Official titles:
(a) European Clubs Blitz Champion
(b) European Clubs Blitz Champion Women (if minimum 4 participants)
5. Technical details:
(a) Opening followed by 1st round – 11/11/14 4 p.m.
(b) Game rate: 3’ min + 2” sec
(c) Roundrobin
with qualifications groups if more than 16 teams.
(d) Composition of the teams:
Þ 3 persons at the team
Þ Players on boards 13
(main) should be declared before 1st round
Þ Main players can play only on theirs boards
Þ Number of reserve players are not limited but:
i. Reserve players cannot play more than 50% of matches
ii. Reserve player cannot play on different boards in 2 successive rounds
(e) Final classification:
Þ Number of match points
Þ Number of game points
Þ Direct encounter
Þ More points on 1st board
Þ More points on 2nd board
Þ Better results on 1st board at direct encounter
Þ Better results on 2nd board at direct encounter

Þ Barrage (match with superblitz games 3’+2”) if places 13
still shared
(f) All rules concerning rapid games and rights – duties of players/referees described
in FMJD annexes are valid.
6. Competition fee is 20 euro€. This should be paid to PDF before October 20th
Competition fee paid by cash before tournament is 30 euro€.
7. Any protest to Jury d'Appel should be given in written form (in English) to the main
referee not later than 10 minutes after the game. Each protest is valid only after paying a
deposit of 100 euro. The deposit will be returned only if a protest will be accepted.
8. Accommodation. Hotel with breakfast/dinner/supper – same address as playing hall
(centre of the city) 20 euro pppd. Players are free to choose any other hotel.
9. With any questions concerning visa, hotels etc please contact Tournament Director Mr.
Damian Jakubik (damian.jakubik@warcaby.pl)
10. Prize money – 100% of competitions fees.
11. In the case of something not being clear in the FMJD regulations or in this regulation, the
decision will be made by the main referee in consultation with the organization and the EDC.
