The Chinese Draughts Assocation is organizing an international tournament in Shandong Province, December 2010. A federation can send two players, a maximum of FMJD rating 2200 and category 'young adults'. If you want more information / to be put in contact directly with the CDA, please let me know, preferably as soon as possible also because the number of federations may be limited to 8.

Tada muškites. Ginklą galite pasirinkti patys :). Jei rimtai - tai, aišku, patiems spręsti.

Nors man ir patinka nuotykiai, bet si karta susilaikysiu Gal ateityje bus geresni variantai, plius WMSG kazkas aiskeja.

Andriui (ir ne tik jam) :!:

Dear draughts lover,

There is a new and important step in the development of draughts in
China. A development that may also be of financial interest to you!
Please see my message below and please see the attachment.

On the kind request and on the behalf of the Chinese Draughts
Association I invite you to participate in the first Open Chinese
Draughts Tournament. There are only 2 requirements: you need to be 30
or younger and if you have a FMJD-rating, it can not be higher than
2200.

The first thing that you need to do now (I mean really now / today) is
to buy a plane ticket for Beijing as the airfares are still very low.
For a tourist visa from most countries you can easily apply without an
invitation and with normal procedure at most embassies this will only
take about 3 working days. Please verify this on the internet by
looking up the website of the Chinese embassy in your country or by
searching a visa bureau and then arrange for your ticket and do not
wait for your visa because the ticket will get more expensive quickly.
Although you do not need an invitation for a tourist visa, of course
Chinese Draughts Association can also send you an invitation right
away. Visa are standard for 30 days so if you like you can - of course
on your own cost - extend your stay in China.

Kindly ask your employer a week off or stop your studies for a week
and / or find a sponsor and come to China. You are still not 31 so
enjoy it while you can! :-) The Chinese federation wants to promote a
youthful image of the draughts sport in China and of course give its
players an interesting playing field to compete in.

1. You get to play in the first Open Chinese Draughts Tournament ever,
a really once in a lifetime experience!
2. You will get to know China and its draughts players!
3. If you finish with the first 10 Men or with the first 6 women, you
have earned your plane ticket to Beijing and you have a chance to make
some nice money on top of that! Please see the distribution of the
prize fund in the attachment
4. The Chinese organization provides you with free full accommodation
(room, breakfast, lunch, diner) in the hotel where the tournament is
being played.
5. The organization also provides accommodation for one coach per
country. So if you have a good friend who can assist you and who also
likes to experience this tournament but does not want to play, he or
she is welcome and will be accommodated too! Please contact me and if
you meet criteria of age (30 or younger and rating 2200 or lower) I
will confirm your participation right away.

,,But it is to late, it is only 15 days from now". Wrong! Please see
why and smell the adventure:

1. Air tickets are still very cheap. So cheap that if you finish with
the first 10 men or first 6 women, that you can pay your air ticket
with your prize money. Tip: Aeroflot offers cheap return tickets from
all major European cities. If you want to arrive earlier or depart
later from Beijing, it is very easy and cheap to arrange for
accommodation. Some Aeroflot fare examples including all taxes and
websites:

between 6.00 in the morning and 24 at night. Telephone +31 6 28 64 60
10. Skype marcel_kosters E-mail marcelkosters@gmail.com.

If you are over 30 yourself and / or have a FMJD rating higher than
2200, please forward this message to friends / players that may be
interested to participate. Ladies, especially your attention: so far
you do not have any European competition for the prizes!

allowed, 2 Belgians, 3, Lithuanians, 3 Latvians etc :-).

Excited greetings from The Netherlands and I very much hope to see you
in Xin Tai! Every round, 8 games will be broadcast live by the way so

Travel and stay:

For international participants, the best arrival airport is Beijing International airport. Xin Tai is 4-5 hours by train from Beijing. Practical travel information will follow after your registration especially on the travel from Beijing Intenational Airport to the train station.

The recommended arrival day on Beijing International Airport is December 4th in the morning.
Vice secretary general of the Chinese Draughts Association Tian Hongwei:

,,The train from Beijing to Tai An leaves at 14:37 (arrival at 18:50, No. D33) We will help the participants buy the tickets and we will go together to Tai An (The participants pay us after they arrive in the venue).”

If you prefer to arrive a day earlier, this is possible. You can easily and cheaply arrange accommodation in Beijing. Websites such as booking.com and lonelyplanet.com have a massive number of available accommodations. The organization will make sure to provide you with adequate travel information.

I again quote Tian Hongwei: ,,The departure day is Dec.12. The earliest train from Tai An to Beijing is 9:46 (arrival time in Beijing 14:04). Please book the air tickets back after 17:00 the same day. Again, if you prefer to stay one day longer, you can easily find accommodation in Beijing.

If you are looking for an affordable hotel, 10 minutes from the airport with a free shuttle service, the Kungang Express Hotel is an option. Room rates for double rooms around 25 euros. The staff is English speaking. Booking trough this website is also possible: http://www.chinahotelsreservation.com/B ... ijing.html .
